While we were blitzing, Nature Nerd Dan Sherman brought out his amazing gigapan photo rig and created some super high-resolution panorama images of the park. Zoom in to see the lichen on the rocks, count poppies, or even read license plate numbers on parked cars!
This one is looking southeast over Visitacion Valley (the yellow dot with white halos on this map). This panorama is stitched together from 594 individual photos (54 columns by 11 rows) to create a whopping 191,352 x 25,600 pixels. Check out all the tech details on the image over here.
